Whenever I wear custom jewelry with my initials or name, I’m always reminded of “The Name Game” song – strange, I know.

Let’s get basic for a second. If you’re reading this, I think it’s safe to assume that you’ve seen at least one (or every) “Sex and the City” episode. My friends and I recently had a discussion, which turned into a rather large debate/argument, over which character we each were. Like I said… #basic. Praise the lord, I was assigned Charlotte and not Miranda. No one wants to be the Miranda of the group. Even though I can mostly relate to Charlotte, the fashionista in me was, however, a tad disappointed that I was not a Carrie, Carrie bo Barrie.

Throughout the series, Carrie’s nameplate necklace becomes much more than costume jewelry that she snatched for a few bucks at an NYC fair. It becomes a symbol of her lifestyle – her identity. That being said, I was uber amped when Onecklace and Exaltation reached out to me to create a few monogrammed pieces of my very own.

Even though I’m “technically” a Charlotte, whenever I wear this custom jewelry, the Carrie in me can shine through.
