I typically don’t mind the length of these shows, but last night’s Critics Choice awards seemed to last longer than it took Will Forte to grow that half-shaved beard of his.
T.J. Miller – and his “critics” – aka puppets took the stage to play host for the evening. Unfortunately, this was the highlight of the night…

Amy Schumer won the MVP award and introduced herself as a “plus, plus size actress”. She then went on to thank the managers she fired and the un-sung hero of Trainwreck, Lebron James. Amy later used her Best Actress in a Comedy (she beat her bestie JLaw) acceptance speech to talk about how much she loves her sister, which, same. Amy, she’s just like us.
Some random shows were nominated this year, which I found completely refreshing. Has the Middle ever had so many noms? Glad to see Eden Sher finally getting the recognition she deserves. Constance Zimmer took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for the series, UnREAL. This show is literally Making a Murderer binge worthy, so definitely check it out if you have not already. I fully plan to lose ten hours of my life this weekend watching Mr. Robot.
I don’t know who Rachel Bloom is, but I’m sick of seeing her on stage. Rude, I know, but HOW does she keep winning awards for a show that’s on the CW against the Bachelor? It can’t be that good…
The red carpet was a snooze fest, which was to be expected. Loved the burgundy accents on Alicia Vikander’s Mary Katrantzou. Rachel McAdams’ burgundy floor-length Elie Saab gown was stunning. She always makes me feel better about embracing my paleness.

Spotlight won for Best Picture and Jeff Probst lost Best Reality Show Host. Step it up, Jeff.
Lingering thoughts: What is a Mad Max? Can I adopt Jacob Tremblay? Where can I get one of those ball gown guns?
