Last night, a street celebration in Paris launched The Isabel Marant pour H&M Collection. Fashion enthusiasts (including front row napper, January Jones) gathered in Paris to take in the lively urban atmosphere.
Rather than a red carpet extravaganza, Isabel Marant wanted the launch to be more casual and capture a realistic urban, bohemian vibe. She transported her guests into the streets of Paris circa early 90s – think brasseries, neon signs, pizza shops, souvenir shops, epiceries, street vendors and people casually enjoying a stroll in the outdoors. The collection was presented in cinematic settings that mixed images, films and models – love it!
“I design for everybody and am constantly inspired by the world I see around me, so it felt natural to have an urban setting as the backdrop of the event. And it had to be Paris, because the city is part of my DNA,” notes Isabel Marant in H&M‘s press release about the event.
As a self-proclaimed ShoeDazzle addict, money can get tight. I love when high-end designers do collaborations like this because it allows me access to fashion that is beautiful, but won’t break my bank account. So, snaps to H&M.
The collection will be launched on November 14 in around 250 stores worldwide and online. No budging!
