My Travel Beauty Must Haves

My Travel Beauty Must Haves

I took my first trip to the Midwest last weekend and once I got over the initial fear of possibly living out a scene from Twister, I was able to enjoy myself and explore the (immaculately clean) city of Indianapolis.

From cupcake trucks to a delicious gluten free brunch at Cafe Patachou, followed by an impromptu Kenny Chesney concert – and a wedding, there was plenty to see and do.

It’s always tricky to stick to a beauty regimen when traveling. I personally get extremely lazy when it comes to packing everything into a teeny-tiny carry-on, but then instantly regret NOT packing that hydrating serum when my face inevitably breaks out.

Over the past year, I finally feel like I’ve got this “jet set” thing down to a science and wanted to share my favorite travel beauty must-haves that I can’t leave home without.

I had this roommate in college who always sprayed Evian Mineral Spray on her feet during the night (don’t ask). I choose to use Vichy’s Thermal Water Spray on my face and find it incredibly refreshing during a long flight when I can’t apply Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar Night moisturizer.

Even though I have to be gluten and dairy free 99.9% of the time, I don’t like to miss out on any possible feasting experience when exploring a new city (i.e. a Cupcake Wars cupcake). This deliciousness can leave me feeling and looking bloated, which is why Liquid Diet is an essential when traveling.

I nap for about two hours a day, so I personally am one who feels the jet lag. The caffeine in Legology Air-Lite gives you instant relief for heavy, tired legs and leaves them visibly smoother and firmer. It’s like a win, win!

The little miracle in a travel sized tube known as Dr. Lipp’s Original Nipple Balm is another travel must have for me. It’s hypoallergenic and you can literally use it wherever you need; lips, elbows, knees, etc.

The Italian side of me unfortunately inherited massive under-eye bags, so when traveling, I never leave without Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream. This also comes in travel size which is uber convenient and leaves the eye area soft, smooth and refreshed for up to 24 hours.

I’m always looking for new beauty products to try, so share in the comments below anything you think I missed!
