In the spirit of the Halloween season and my latest addiction (episode 4 is on tonight – yay!), Scream Queens, I’m officially dubbing myself Chanel No. 7. Feel free to add my inexorable murder to the script, Ryan Murphy.
Aside from TLC’s biggest fans, the Best Buy Serial references, and the comedic gold that is Chad Radwell, I am completely transfixed with the show’s fashion (minus Hester’s bedazzled neckbrace).
The whole Cruel Intentions/Clueless vibe is so up my alley, it’s like the wardrobe stylists peered into my brain while dressing each character. Everything from the furs (like this one on sale) to the feathers to those ear muffs worn by “Charles Manson’s daughter” is so over the top, but in the best way possible. Love how they kept with the whole “Chanel” theme and went all “more is more” a la Karl Lagerfeld circa 1986. Genius.
Currently taking bets on how many sororities dress as The Chanels this Halloween.
