It’s been 48 hours since my red eye landed in Philadelphia, and I am still completely exhausted from my Vegas vacation.

This was my very first trip to Sin City, and I can honestly say I was a little depressed to snap back to reality. I seriously had the best time. I went with four of my best girlfriends, who are all Vegas connoisseurs, so you know we got the hook-up. From eating French fries in David Guetta’s suite to taking limos JUST to cross the street to Chanel shopping sprees, getting the VIP treatment was the new norm. Did I mention how good looking everyone is?

While I was packing for my trip (the worst part of any vacation), I noticed there were not a ton of guides out there when it comes to packing the essentials, so here’s one to help out those who are looking to pop their Vegas cherries!

Footwear:
There IS such thing as a comfortable pair of heels. If you plan on buying new ones, break them in prior to your trip so you can hit the dance floor sans blisters. I’m also a big fan of ShoeDazzle — their shoes are reasonably priced and I’ve never had a complaint about the fit. Wedges are also a necessity when it comes to daytime cabana parties by the pool. A little lift will give you that instant definition for your legs. A pair of bendable flats are also a great item to stash in your carry-on when traveling anywhere. They allow you to be comfortable yet chic while traveling to, from, and through the airport.

Clothing:
Get it right, get it tight. As much as I make fun of those Herve Leger knockoff dresses, they are the perfect type of ensemble for Vegas. I recycled a few dresses I wore for NYE, but another great option is to use Rent The Runway!

Hangover Cures:
If you listen to the Eye Hate Heels podcast, you know that I unfortunately cannot drink due to an allergy. However, my girlfriends all SWEAR by this magical powder called Purple Rain. Just mix it into some aqua pre-alcohol consumption, and it will offset your hangover. Caffeine will also be your new BFF. I typically stay away from it; however, you’re not going to sleep — and it’s good for migraines.

Beachwear:
I’m typically the type who chooses not to wear a cover-up to the beach. I prefer to walk barefoot just in my bikini. Vegas makes you realize why cover-ups are still relevant. I was lucky enough to have one of my girlfriends pack her entire romper collection, which worked out great for my cover-up crisis. I’d suggest hitting up Forever 21 for a few of these to wear during the day parties over your ‘kini. Bikinis should be stylish, strappy and sexy. There’s a store in The Cosmopolitan right next to Marquee that had a ton of what I had been looking for while packing, so if you can’t find what you want at Victoria’s Secret, definitely check that place out! If you plan on Instagramming a lot (like me!), bring a few pairs of sunglasses. Make sure they’re inexpensive because there is a strong possibility you will lose them. ZeroUV is great for this.

Beauty:
Face and eye masks are crucial for your skin when traveling and even more so when in Vegas. I’m a big fan of the Peter Thomas Roth mask set because they’re tiny enough to get through security. Sephora’s Green Tea eye masks are perfect to refresh, revitalize and brighten tired looking eyes. They’re also only $5 each — #winning. Coming from 30-degree weather, I was definitely paler than pale and could have benefited from a spray tan — and a mani/pedi. Don’t make the same mistake I did, haha! Get one. When it comes to eye makeup, lashes will make or break your look. I am a big fan of the Ardell 113’s. You can buy these in bulk through Amazon or grab a pair at CVS.

Snacks:
Vegas might be the best diet I’ve ever unintentionally practiced. Heads up — you’re not going to eat while you’re there (or was that just me and my girlfriends?), so be sure to stock up on snacks for your hotel room.

While we didn’t see any shows due to pool parties and night life takeovers, I will just have to use that as an excuse to go back stat. I really hope this list is helpful and please feel free to comment below with any suggestions you guys have!
